Becoming a professional counselor has been Linda Walker’s dream for as long as she can remember. Life experiences with a prior nursing career, years of volunteer work with families of critically and terminally ill children, and her own personal journey through the lengthy illness and death of her thirteen-year-old son, David, gave Linda the impetus to become a counselor. Linda is married with grown children and grandchildren. She loves helping people and believes the Lord does not want us going through trying times alone.
Linda Walker is licensed in New Mexico as a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC). Linda Walker also holds the following certifications: Certified Sex Therapist (CST), American Board of Christian Sex Therapists; Diplomate Clinical Sexology, American Board of Sexology; Certified Clinical Sexual Addiction Specialist, International Association of Certified Clinical Sexual Addiction Specialists, Inc.; National Certified Counselor (NCC), National Board for Certified Counselors; Board Certified Christian Counselor (IBCC), International Board of Christian Professional and Pastoral Counselors. She has a MA in Counseling from Webster University, and a BA in Psychology from College of Santa Fe. Linda also has doctoral level classes in Biblical Counseling.
Linda Walker counsels both couples and individuals. Examples of sexual issue she works with include: decreased or lack of sexual desire, erectile dysfunctions, ejaculation difficulties, problems with orgasm, female sexual pain, issues with pornography, and vaginismus or unconsummated marriage. Many issues are worked on in the context of marriage counseling.
